Ayush Gupta grew up in India and completed his BS-MS at IISER Mohali. His research interests lie in cellular compartmentalization, and particularly, how macromolecular complexes organize, interact, and regulate various biochemical reactions. During his MS thesis, Ayush worked on the molecular mechanism governing phase separation and subsequent aggregation of IDPs. He has recently joined Matthias Heinemann’s group as a PhD Student to investigate the role of mesoscale protein assemblies (agglomerates) in metabolism.
